Integrated Crisis Centre (ICC)

The Integrated Crisis Centre (ICC) offers non-medical walk-in services for people experiencing a mental health or substance-use crisis. People may also be guided to the ICC if they have contacted Here 24/7, CMHA Waterloo Wellington’s crisis service.

The Integrated Crisis Centre was created to provide an alternate destination to the hospital, relieving pressure on emergency rooms while providing people with a warm, welcoming environment, dedicated solely to their mental health needs.

Once the program receives full funding, our goal is to further assist with hospital diversion by working collaboratively with hospital and Paramedic Services and becoming an official drop-off destination for those in need.

The ICC is open from 2 p.m. - 8 p.m., Tuesday – Saturday and is located at 298 Lawrence Avenue, Kitchener, Ontario.

The Integrated Crisis Centre address:

  • Situational crises
  • Emotional distress
  • Psychosis
  • An emotional response to existing trauma
  • Severe depression or anxiety
  • Symptoms of moderate withdrawal
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Agitation (or inability to sleep due to agitation)

Please note: The Integrated Crisis Centre is not a primary care facility and does not provide medical care. If you are at serious risk of harming yourself or another person, or if you require medical withdrawal, please visit the hospital.
